Kal Penn , who just up until recently was actually working in politics, is bringing a new single camera comedy to NBC set in the U.N.! Not only that, but he will have a role as well — as an assistant to the U.S. ambassador! Penn told Mike Fleming in an interview earlier this month that “the shows I’ve most loved in the last couple of years were NBC’ 30 Rock and The Office”, both workplace comedies

Ugh. They’re going to make this good-bye as drawn out and heartwrenching as possible, aren’t they? NBC has just announced that on the night of Steve Carrell ’s final stint on The Office , which will air on the rapidly approaching April 28th, the comedy will be extended to a special , 50-minute farewell episode, from 9-9:50pm.

MTV Shows We were wondering when we were finally going to get a look at this! Check out (above) the just-released preview for the American adaptation of the smash UK series, Skins , set to premiere on MTV in January! Well, from what we can gather, it’s pretty much a line-by-line knock-off of the vastly superior original, so we frankly don’t see the point of it - but maybe, like The Office , it will find its own voice and improve with time! We’re not holding our breath, though.

The Trailer For The American Version Of Skins Has Arrived!

Ha! We’re shocked that NBC and FOX approved this, but it’s still pretty HIGHlarious! An upcoming episode of The Office will reportedly be dedicated to Glee , and will feature the entire staff of Dunder Mufflin getting together to watch the smash series! WTF?? However, don’t expect evil Rachel Berry or our beloved Sue Sylvester to show up, because according to sources, no one will be ‘crossing over’ for a guest appearance! This should be pretty inneresting! The Office has really stepped up its game so far this season, so we expect big laughs! What do U think??

Perhaps…if the producers actually talk to him about doing it. There are a lot of changes in the TV lineups on some of your favorite shows, but aside from American Idol , the only other show people seem to really care about is The Office . The big question remaining is who’s going to replace Steve Carell once this next season is over.
