Taylor Swift was the recipient of the a variety of awards - most notably her first country songwriter of the year award - at the BMI’s last night, but during one of her acceptance speech, she revealed that the accolades were overshadowed by the recent death of close friend, Jeff Lang , who was found dead in his apartment earlier in the week - and she had just attended his funeral.

Taylor Swift rocked the VMAs last night with her song, Innocent - which was allegedly her response to Kanye West’s stage-crashing incident at last year’s ceremony - but the country cutie was reportedly freaking out before she went on because she was nervous about how the rapper would react! A source explains: “Taylor was a nervous wreck before she hit the stage last night. She knew Kanye was in the building and was terrified and praying that he wouldn’t pull another stunt.
