Now, LOTS of progress is being made on The Expendables 2 , and we’ve just learned that Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis have signed on for substantial roles in the action flick! Filming stars this October, which will take place around the same time that Arnold shoots Last Stand , and right before Bruce shoots Die Hard 5

Hopefully they can get moving on this quickly, so producers can get going on a Rambo musical next! LOLz! After hearing that The Weinsteins are adapting basically every movie they ever made into Broadway plays , it sadly doesn’t come as a major surprise to us that Sylvester Stallone has assembled a team to put together a musical adaptation of his 1976 Best Picture winner Rocky .

Dudes win! Sylvester Stallone ’s The Expendables beat out Julia Roberts ‘ Eat Pray Love this weekend with an estimated $35 million. Eat Pray Love took in an estimated $24 million at the number 2 spot, meanwhile The Other Guys and Scott Pilgrim vs The World rounded out at third and fourth place (ouch!). Does this mean that aging stars still have what it takes to make blockbuster movies in Hollywood???

Whatever! Their loss! Sources reveal that Sylvester Stallone offered roles to both Steven Seagal and Jean-Claude Van Damme in The Expendables and both of them turned him down . While on the red carpet, Sly told a reporter: “I called Jean-Claude Van Damme and Steven Seagal and they just had different ideas on their careers.
