Gusts over 100mph have and continue to sweep Scotland off its feet! Scotland is reporting major damage to some areas, flipped cars, uprooted trees, you name it!! Many schools have closed, flights have been delayed, and drivers are warned to stay inside. But as bad as it’s been, the worst is yet to come. Sad! A gust of 137 has been reported and gusts are expected to reach 150mph later on Thursday afternoon.

Good lord, this situation just keeps more and more nauseating. We reported yesterday on the Sequoya High School senior Chris Sigler , who was assaulted by his principal Maurice Moser after he refused to take off a t-shirt which supported the formation of a Gay-Straight Alliance, and now, it appears that there’s a whole lot more bigotry and close-mindedness going on in this school system! According to the state’s ACLU, Moser has repeatedly attempted to claim that a GSA in the school has not been formed because they cannot find a faculty sponsor, although they’ve been following a “disturbing trend” there where several members of the faculty have expressed interest in taking the job, only to go in for a meeting with the Principal and then leave “suddenly uninterested!” Furthermore, while the Ass’t Director of Schools for Monroe County, Tim Blankenship , has reportedly told the press: “The Monroe County School System is aware of the alleged accusations

Brown students, rejoice! The Granger shall return! Ha! Last we heard about Emma Watson and Brown University, she announced to the world that her decision to transfer out of Brown had NOTHING to do with being bullied. Clearly she has only positive associations with the school, because now she’s decided to finish her degree at Brown after she returns from England’s Oxford University, which she’ll be attending this fall.

In yuckie news, we have the sad, sad story of a Catholic Bishop who so vehemently denies gays the right to marry, he goes to the selfish length of refusing donations meant for students. Soon after New York passed the bill allowing same-sex marriage, Bishop Nicholas DiMarzio called it ‘another nail in the coffin of marriage.’ He then announced anyone who voted in support would be denied the ability to honor students with donations or even come to Catholic school events and parishes. Joseph Lentol , an assemblyman as well as a Catholic, voted in support of the bill.
