Studio Pulls Out Of Soderbergh Film When They Hear Blake Lively Is The Star!
Ouch!!! We bet this one has to hurt!! Yikes!! According to inside sources, as soon as Annapurna Pictures heard Blake Lively was cast in Steven Soderbergh’s Side Effects , they decided to pull out of financing… But here’s the worst part — despite strong rumors and spoken interest in Blake playing the lead, nothing had been signed or confirmed. So even though they’ll probably use other funding, will Blake stick around and commit to it?

Cynthia Nixon Reveals Bald Head For Role!
One minute she’s saying that she chose to be gay , the next she’s revealing that she’s shaved her head bald for an upcoming role! Cynthia Nixon is nothing if not surprising! Check out that bald head, you guys! That takes guts, especially when you’re known for your head of red hair! She did it for her role in the Manhattan Theatre Club production of Wit where she plays cancer stricken poetry professor Vivian Bearing . Here’s what she had to say about it: ‘I thought it was kind of gonna be no muss-no fuss, but I have to shave it every day! It’s got kind of a five o’clock shadow, and you don’t want to go on with that. I was always kind of curious to see what it would be like.

Melissa McCarthy only just found out that she’s received an Academy Award nod as Best Supporting Actress for her incredible performance in Bridesmaids , and took the opportunity to discuss her shock before heading to work on her sitcom Mike & Molly ! She reveals: “I’m going to be bouncing off the walls. I feel bad because I am going to be so spastic and don’t know if I’ll get any of my lines right.

Fox Wins Monday Night Ratings…Thanks To Dr. Gregory House!
Fox is in the HOUSE ! Get it??? Last night, Fox was the big winner in the ratings, thanks to the return of House , which was the #1 telecast in primetime! It brought in 8.7 million total viewers, and a 3.1 rating in adults 18-49! Nice! Fox’s Monday night win was ALSO helped by Alcatraz , which landed 9 million viewers and a 3.0 rating for its second week on the air. ABC didn’t do too bad last night either, thanks to The Bachelor’s improved numbers! The reality show brought in 8.3 million viewers and a 2.7 rating, which is an impressive 13% jump from last week.

Earlier today, we announced the full list of the 2012 Oscar nominees , and we were pleased with many of the selections! Now, some of the nominated stars have opened up about the Academy’s choices! Here’s what Gary Oldman had to say about his Best Actor nomination for Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy : “This afternoon in Berlin I have learned that I was nominated for an Academy Award in the category of Best Actor.
