Madonna Responds To Malawi Controversy

After falling out with fitness guru Tracy Anderson when she began dating Philippe van den Bossche , the head of Madonna ’s Raising Malawi charity, Madge has made up with her former trainer! The two of them were spotted chatting happily at the Bent on Learning charity event on Wednesday in NYC and Tracy was even seen taking Madonna’s daughter Lourdes to the restroom. It’s nice to see that even though their professional relationship has ended, they can still be cordial to one another. Plus Madonna does owe some credit for her rockin’ bod to Tracy! Madge Continues Tour Of Malawi!

Madonna is currently in Malawi to begin construction of the Raising Malawi Academy for Girls on Tuesday, but she is so overcome by emotion that she took to blogging about it. She writes : On my first visit to Malawi, I was devastated to meet child after child who had been orphaned by AIDS. Having lost my mother at such a young age, I felt a close connection to these children.

Hey Madonna ! Can you go do something about this please?! In Malawi this morning, a judge ruled that the two gay men who were arrested in December for getting engaged will have to stand trial for their “crimes.” This order will demand that Steven Monjeza and Tiwonge Chimbalanga’s lawyer call forth defense witnesses to help deny charges that they partook in “gross indecency.” Having already spent three months in jail, if they are convicted of committing “homosexual acts”, they can received a maximum prison sentence of 14 years! Absurd! We’re sure other people have done a lot worse with a lot less punishment! Here’s hoping it won’t come to that for you guys! Shameful!

Madonna was spotted doing good things again in Malawi yesterday as she continued to oversee the construction of her girls’ academy. She visited the orphanage where she adopted son David Banda and was seen waving and smiling as she left
