This is just DREADFUL! Check out this news report on 16-year-old Kasey Landrum , a gay teen from Tennessee who was suspended from Lexington High School for wearing eye make-up, even though other punk rock kids do the same with consequence (above)! Thankfully, after the story was caught wind of by The Tennessee Equality Project and LGBTQNation, Kasey’s suspension was reversed and a new school policy, allowing all students to wear make-up, was put into place! As it should have been! Unless there was a strict dress code in place, which there clearly wasn’t, these kids need the ability to express themselves and who they are, REGARDLESS of sexual preference! EQUAL RIGHTS FOR ALL!

We’d heard that the play would premiere as a Broadway benefit reading for one night only on Sept. 19th in NYC. We also heard it would feature an A-list ensemble cast including Morgan Freeman , Marisa Tomei , Anthony Edwards , Rob Reiner , John Lithgow , and Bradley Whitford ….AND Matt Bomer & Cheyenne Jackson playing husbands! Now, the play about the Prop 8 case opens in less than a week, and everyone seem VERY excited about it! When Jordin Sparks dropped by MuchMusic for an interview during New.Music.Live , and discovered that the program’s Floor Director, Kwame Hills , performs her hit, No Air, at karaoke every week, she invited him to sing with her during the show, and was so impressed that she had her join him on stage for a during her opening for NKOTBSB concert in Toronto the following evening! See it all unfold for yourself (above)! Not bad! We can’t even imagine what a whirlwind opportunity this must have all been for him! And he holds his own on stage with her! Pretty impressive! So cool and thoughtful, Jordin! Can we go next?! LOLz!
