Phew! We worried for a second there! Ever since Steven Tyler agreed to be on the judging panel for the new season of American Idol , there have been nasty little rumors circulating that his Aerosmith bandmates were planning on replacing him! Thankfully, the singer has put that nonsense to rest, and even revealed that the band will be working on a brand new album when he’s not at his new job! He explains: “We’re gonna work on it while I’m doing Idol . Idol ’s two days a week.” Excellent news! We can’t imagine the band without his vocal stylingz! What do U think?? Are U excited more Aerosmith is on its way?

Which AI Judge Is "Locked" In For Season 10?

Well, it’s official! Now it’s only a question of whether or not he’ll actually be good! Sources are confirming this morning that Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler has finalized his deal to appear as a judge on the new season of American Idol ! No word on whether or not Jenny from the Block has officially been nixed, but apparently gurlfriend wanted over $20 million, on top of an on-staff hair, makeup, and wardrobe team to accomodate her in a customized ‘dressing compound’ - whatever the hell that means! Sorry, bb! Since when has your singing career warranted you a spot on that judges panel, let alone those kind of diva demands! No wonder they kicked your ass to the curb! But we digress. We think Tyler’s definitely got the music cred to back him up, but can he bring the pilled out crazy that’s been missing ever since our beloved Paula AbDROOL quit that shiz? We hope so! This is going to be such a random bunch! After Jennifer Lopez confirmed that she will be the new American Idol judge, Aerosmith star Steven Tyler is following suit — kinda! Tyler said over the weekend after his Las Vegas concert that his future plans are “recording an album and [I'm] probably going to be the judge on American Idol .” We still think PEREZ would have been a better choice! Gurlfriend, you better step off! That is OUR job! Clay Aiken has apparently started campaigning to be the replacement for Simon Cowell on the next season of American Idol ! He says: “I’ve always thought it would be a great addition to the panel to have someone who’s a former contestant and knows what it’s like to be up on that stage and be critiqued. Well, I’m so far removed from it at this point that I don’t know if I remember what it’s like, but who knows. I would not put myself out there to be as caustic as he is, but if they want to call me, bring it on
